Ground Source Solutions Ltd can offer assistance in the design and application of ground source heat pump systems for individual projects, also supply ground loop installation and heat pumps via IGSHPA registered installers. We can also formulate and prepare for clients, consultants and contractors, a full Ground Loop Design and Specification for work put out to tender.
Ground Source Solutions Ltd can design and provide appropriate ground loop kits and a full support service in accordance with the project specification.
For the design of a closed loop Ground Source Energy system, several characteristics of the installation have to be known with sufficient accuracy. Amongst the most important parameters are the building's energy load and the soil's thermal characteristics. The latter comprising of soil capacity and thermal conductivity. These determine important boundaries and conditions of the design, in particular the sustainable amount of energy that can be extracted or injected for each metre of ground coupling installed, as well as the optimum distance between the loops. The soil thermal capacity and the soil thermal conductivity depend upon factors such as the geological profile, soil moisture content and geo-hydrological conditions. These parameters are generally quite location specific. Generalised values obtained from literature can be used to provide an estimate, but may lead to a costly over designed loop or an installation that does not function to required specifications.
Here at Ground Source Solutions Ltd we have over 20 combined years of experience in the installation of Ground Source Energy systems . Our staff have been involved in some of the largest Ground Energy Installation projects in the UK. Such projects require many different teams to come together to to allow for a successful project completion. There are suppliers, architects, installers and consultants to the building trade.
We have recognised that a sound Project Management is key to the success of any Ground Source Installation. Effective Project Management keeps the customers happy, and this means internal customers such as suppliers and contractors to the project, and not just the final customer who will benefit from the installation itself. Project Management is key to preventing costs soaring unnecessarily. Poor communication and poor management leads to wastages in materials and time, and this can hit final profit margins to all concerned. It's simple:
"We know how to deliver a profitable ground source energy installation, that meets every customer requirement."
